RIFLESCOPES FAQs

Want to know more? Read our frequently asked questions below to find out more about ZeroTech riflescopes.

A riflescope is an optical device that enables you to magnify your target. This scope is used to increase the accuracy when aiming at long distances. Additionally, the reticle indicates exactly where your weapon is aimed at.

A riflescope usually consists of a body, eyepiece, objective lens, shoulder, windage, elevation, and parallax knobs. The eyepiece is the part of the scope that you use to look through and the objective lens helps to magnify the target.

You could start with centering the reticle in the field of view. Once the scope is perfectly centered, the view forms a circle. To achieve a good sight picture, we highly recommend you to place the weapon on a table or use a bipod for improved stability.

  • Cover the lenses over both the front and back of the hunting scope when not in use to avoid scratches or any other damages.
  • Use lens brushes to brush away any sediment stuck to the lens. You can also use anti-fogging optical wipes.
  • Store your scope in a closed space to prevent any damaging effect on the internal lubrication and the lens due to extreme heat on hot summers.
  • Clean your riflescope with a soft, dry cloth to remove smudges, fingerprints or any sediments.

It’s really a personal preference. Generally, it’s taught that you should shoot with just one eye open. But some expert snipers have proven that you can shoot well with both eyes open too.

No, the hunting scope’s magnification only affects what the shooter sees. This will influence how the shooter aims, but not the distance the bullet will travel.

Focus on both to make sure that the reticle is in line with the target.
